Meet Albie

Albie is our little “Benjamin Button”.  When I adopted him from the humane society in 2009, they told me he was 9 years old.  At first, he was shy and skinny.  Within a few short weeks, he shed his shyness and put on a few pounds.

And then his personality really came out.  He likes to tease one of the cats (Carter), but seems to be a little afraid of the other (Duke).  He is not the best leash walker, but loves climbing stairs and car rides.  He is super protective of me, but once you get to know him, he’s your best friend, always happy and smiling.

A trip to the vet revealed that he was probably not 9, but “between 5 and 10”.  The vet said she would put him closer to 5 with the energy of a two year old.  So Albie went from 9 to 2 in a matter of weeks.  Almost two years later, he is still full of energy and healthy.  We guesstimate he is around 8 years old, but always keep in mind that, if the humane society was right, he is an old man at 11.

Oh and in case you are wondering how Albie fits into potty training the cats, I will tell you…  Albie LOVES to eat poo!  My sweet, adorable little pup who I love to hug and cuddle eats out of the litterbox.  It is gross and disgusting, and I cannot wait for it to stop…  hopefully within the next 8 weeks, which is, according to the Litter Kwitter website, how long it should take me to train D&C.

By the way, don’t let the picture fool you.  That was Albie 10 pounds ago and after being groomed.  He’s adorable, but a mess!
